Day 1 - Split Arrival

Private transfer from Split airport.

After arrival and settling in your hotel private guided tour of the city will be organized.

Discover this dynamic city that has evolved over the centuries. It offers a perfect blend of history and modern influences, and boasts museums, great architecture, restaurants, shops, and an abundant green and open fish market. Begin with a stop at the open food market, where you can experience fresh local ingredients. Continue to Diocletian’s Palace for a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was originally built as a residential summer palace for the Roman emperor. Your afternoon is at leisure to enjoy Split on your own. You may wish to walk along the Riva (waterfront) to enjoy the ambience of this friendly city. Free evening.

In the afternoon private truffle hunt near Split with special meal prepared on the location. Walk through woods with your expert guides and world class truffle hunting dogs and enjoy truffle infused exclusive meal in the woods.

Return to the hotel in the early evening.

Day 1 - Split Arrival

Day 2 - Discover the 2000-year-old town of Split

zifandel 11 editedIn the morning you’ll meet your guide who will introduce you to the ancient Roman town of Split. Your first stop will be the 1,700-year-old Diocletian palace, where you will learn more about the history of one of the best-preserved Roman residences in the world and how life has continued to flow through its streets until today. After this, meet your chef/guide through Croatian cuisine for a tour of the local green market, followed by a cooking class where you’ll prepare lunch together (be involved as much as you like). Local wine varieties will be served during cooking class.

Day 3 - Trip to Hvar B, L

hvarIn the morning, after checking out from the hotel, you will board the catamaran/fast ferry for the Hvar Island. Hvar is considered the sunniest island in Croatia, and the town of Hvar is famous for its unique fusion of Mediterranean climate, and Roman and medieval architecture '’sizzled' with Venetian influence. And, of course, Hvar is known for its superb wines, especially - Plavac Mali, the “grandson” of the world-famous Zinfandel grape which originates from Croatia. In a private guided tour, you will visit all the main sites, followed by a trip to one of the local wineries in an old village for a wine-tasting tour and lunch.

Day 4 - Discover the oldest town on the island of Hvar B

After breakfast, meet your driver and local guide to explore Stari Grad on a private tour.

Stari Grad (translated as the Old Town) is the oldest settlement on the island, founded by the ancient Greeks.

Its historic core and the cultural landscape of the nearby field were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Afternoon and evening at your leisure.

 

 

Day 5 - Vis and Biševo boat tour B

zinfandel 6 editedAfter breakfast enjoy a private boat tour to Vis and Biševo island. From 1950 to 1989 Vis was a military base and closed to tourists. As a result, nature was allowed to create a pristine, lush environment and the island’s unique beauty was quickly recognized by savvy travelers.
Now famous as the site of the film Mama Mia, Vis has a darker side that still guards its many secrets. You can discover them on a day trip from Hvar. You will also visit the Blue Cave – a unique natural phenomenon located on the picturesque island of Biševo. The cave hides 50 shades of blue and is truly a special sight (tour duration: 6.5 hours).
During your tour explore inland Vis as well and experience wine tasting of the local variety-Vugava at a beautiful setting of a small boutique winery.

Day 6 - Explore the lakes of Imotski B, L

In the morning return to Split and continue to explore inland Dalmatia and the town of Imostski. Hike around the famous lakes with a local guide. The adventure begins with a visit to the Imotski Blue Lake - a true gem of nature. Take in the panoramic views that offer a glimpse of the crystal-clear waters and the surrounding lush greenery. Next, you continue to the Imotski Red Lake, known as the deepest lake in Europe. Finally, enjoy a scenic ride to the Galipovac viewpoint to enjoy the spectacular view. In the late afternoon visit Grabovac Winery for wine tasting and return to Split in the early evening.

Day 7 - Gourmet food pairing and departure B, L

Before your departure flight in the afternoon an exclusive lunch overlooking Split and nearby bay will be organized. Located in the vineyard above Split enjoy a multicourse lunch paired with amazing wine prepared by your chef.

 

After lunch transfer to nearby Split airport for your outbound flight.

The project "OMNIS - Co-creation of Inclusive Sustainable Tourism Itineraries and Packages from Coastal to Inner Areas" is co-financed by the Interreg VI Italy-Croatia Programme 2021-2027 (cross-border cooperation programme).
